Static-dissipative (ESD) and conductive floor systems provide a controlled electrical path to ground, protecting sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge and reducing ignition risk where flammable vapours, dusts, or solvents are present. A grounded grid of copper strips is tied into the coating and verified by resistance testing.
These systems are essential in electronics manufacturing and assembly, clean rooms, labs, battery and munitions handling, and any space where a stray spark or a static-zapped circuit board is unacceptable. We install and document them to the electrical-resistance range your specification calls for.

What is the difference between static-dissipative and conductive flooring?
Both drain static charge to ground, but at different resistance ranges. Static-dissipative floors dissipate charge more slowly and suit most electronics work; conductive floors have lower resistance for environments demanding rapid discharge or spark control. We install to the range your specification requires.
Do you test and certify the finished floor?
Yes. We install a grounded copper grid tied into the system and perform surface- and point-to-ground resistance testing, providing documentation that the floor falls within the specified range.
Can an ESD floor also be spark-proof?
Conductive versions of these systems are used specifically to control ignition risk in areas with flammable vapours or combustible dust. We match the system to your hazard classification.
