Polyurethane Mortar & Slurry Systemsurethane mortar flooring built for how your building actually works.

Polyurethane mortar (urethane cement) and slurry systems are the toughest floors we install. They resist thermal shock from steam cleaning and hot/cold cycling, aggressive chemicals, acids, and sugars, and constant water — the exact conditions found in food and beverage plants, commercial kitchens, and wet processing areas.

Installed with integral cove base and drainage falls, these floors create a hygienic, monolithic surface that meets the expectations of food-safety programs and health inspectors. Textured finishes provide reliable slip resistance even when wet and greasy.

Why Urethane Mortar?

Thermal-Shock Resistant

Withstands steam cleaning, hot spills, and hot/cold cycling that would crack or delaminate a standard epoxy.

Aggressive Chemical Resistance

Stands up to acids, alkalis, fats, sugars, and harsh sanitizers used in processing environments.

Hygienic & Seamless

Integral cove base and drainage falls leave no seams or voids for bacteria — built for HACCP and health-inspection standards.

Wet-Area Slip Resistance

Textured aggregate finishes keep footing safe on wet, greasy floors.

Urethane Mortar — Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose urethane mortar over epoxy for a food plant?

Urethane mortar resists thermal shock from steam cleaning and hot/cold cycling and tolerates food acids and sugars far better than standard epoxy. In wet, high-temperature processing areas it lasts significantly longer.

Does it meet food-safety requirements?

Yes. Installed with integral cove base and correct drainage falls, these seamless systems are designed to support HACCP programs and pass health-inspection scrutiny. Antimicrobial options are available.

Can it be installed in a cold-storage or freezer environment?

Yes. Specific product formulations and installation methods are used for cold rooms and freezers. We confirm the temperature conditions before specifying the system.
